Get to Know Our Project: A Green Step for the Future

As the GreenStep Initiative youth group, we have taken a significant step to raise environmental awareness in society and to establish a strong culture of recycling and reuse. Our project was officially approved in the third round of 2024 by the Romanian National Agency as part of the ESC-30-SOL program under the European Solidarity Corps.

What Is the Aim of Our Project?

The main goal of this project is to create awareness—especially among young people and children—on waste management, recycling, and reuse, and to spread this awareness widely to help build a sustainable lifestyle culture.

With the growing human population and consumption habits, environmental problems have become increasingly urgent. Therefore, it is vital for individuals to reduce their carbon footprint, sort their waste responsibly, and embrace recycling as part of everyday life. This is the awareness that inspired our project.

Children are the most open to learning and change. That’s why our project focuses heavily on environmental education and workshops for children. By planting the seeds of awareness today, we hope to nurture environmentally responsible individuals of tomorrow.
